Quick Guide to Proper Suit Care

After Practice or competition rinse your suit out with cold water to remove as much chlorine as possible which can damage the fabric. Make sure to squeeze out any excess water but please be gentle when doing this. To dry just lay it out on a flat surface. Never hang the suit as it can cause stretching, never ever pop it in the dryer and if you have to throw your wet suit in your swim bag right away roll it up in a towel first.

Remember Hand wash in cold water only! It should never touch a machine washer or dryer as this can cause the suit to snag, tear or stretch. We don't recommend using any type of detergent mild or not.

For those precious high priced championship suits, make sure to remove the suits immediately after your race as the longer you wear them, the more they’ll stretch out.

When putting on those type of suits make sure to dry off thoroughly first and have the suit be as dry as possible as well.

These small tips can extend the life and effectiveness of your suits. Whether an expensive high tech, regular meet or practice suits you need to take proper care to extend the life and effectiveness of them as you can invest a lot of money into your performance wear and they have not been designed to last for very many races. Once you wear your competitive high-performance suits especially in the water, they won't be quite as effective as it was the first race.

Quick Guide to Fitting Your Suit

Make sure your suit fits properly as it will extend the life of the suit. Loose suits allow a lot of water to get into them, and this water will stretch the suit and weakens the material.

Make sure you aren't able to stretch the shoulder straps past the bottom of your ear. The straps should lay comfortably on your shoulders while being snug without digging in. They should never be loose or be able to fall down.

The chest area should provide an adequate amount of coverage and support without flattening the breasts entirely. Make sure to lift your arms and practice some air strokes to determine if the swimsuit provides sufficient coverage in the bust and whether its comfortable. It can cut off circulation or cause pain if it's too tight.

The swimwear should lie perfectly flat on your body without any gathering at the seams, wrinkles, or pulling. The legs openings should be snug but not digging into your legs.
